Countryside excursion
Going for a tour, we excitedly pack all what's necessary, in order to leave behind everything we have accumulated to serve our comfort. Actually, we do carry a lot more in our backpacks than we might think.
Both the function and the object of our contemplation will confront us with that we need to transform the landscape, be it industrial or untouched wilderness. We walk along the ridges of rocks with different knowledge, and we use other notions observing the bank of a slow stream.
In this exhibition, filters, which decisively influence the way we perceive the pictures are aggressively placed in the centre of the images. At the first glance these collage-like applications of incompatible segments evoke surrealism. Nevertheless, through the attitude of the observer, the object in the centre of the images are granted shape, they turn real, become photographable as part of the landscape.
We can see landscapes, which also include suggestions upon what feelings, associations we may turn the ambience of our walks more timid or more hostile with. We can swap the filter as freely as we want, because accidentally we left the backpack on the picture as we were taking the photograph of the untouched landscape.
